Zelda's diary and research notes
Stored in the desk of the jungle room where Zelda is staying are two notebooks. They're not locked up so any NOSY PERSON that wants to stumble across them is free to. If you want to be RUDE.
Day 1
The level of technology in our prison is beyond what I've seen. There are many screens and devices about this world that I would like to investigate. The 'tablets' we've been given are similar to the Sheikah slate, but their uses vary wildly. Perhaps if I researched further, I could unlock the same functions in it? There is much I must learn about both of them. The tablet has a list of every competitor in this macabre game, it gathers information on our votes and our performance in their competitions. It is extremely sturdy, can be controlled through touch, and is capable of producing speech. Unfortunately, they are prone to malfunctioning. Many people in this game were unable to turn their votes in. Was this error or sabotage?
The people gathered here are also of interest. It seems we've been drawn from different worlds and times. So many are acquainted with this level of technology already. There are some races I have never seen before, and hardly anyone is able to recognise me as a Hylian. Most have such small, rounded ears, and refer to me as an elf. It is clear that time and space are no boundary here. Contestants from previous games these men have run have been brought back. This has been happening for a long time, and victory is no guarantee of permanent escape.
There must be some deeper purpose to all of this. I cannot imagine what the king and his fool stand to gain out of this sham of a game, but I intend to find out.
